AMPAC In-Space Propulsion (ISP) is a world leader in bipropellant attitude control propulsion, with thousands of 2 lbf and 5 lbf thrusters in operation on orbiting satellites.
As part of our effort to continually expand our product line with leading technology, we have developed thrusters that combine a low-cost, high-performance injector design with a high-temperature capability platinum-rhodium alloy chamber. Our 5 lbf thrust engine has demonstrated more than 1,900 lbm (propellant weight) of steady-state throughput at a specific impulse of 300+ seconds. The dual-mode version of this engine has demonstrated 308+ seconds specific impulse. Both of these engines are flight qualified.
AMPAC-ISP also continues to develop designs for new applications using liquid propellants.
